Could Jevon Carter join Steph Curry? One new NBA Mock Draft says it could happen

On the heels of finishing a record-breaking and award-winning career, Jevon Carter’s NBA Draft stock is on the rise.

Once thought of as a solid second rounder, Jevon Carter brought his offensive level up almost to par with his tenacious defensive game.

NBA Draft expert Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders slots Carter in at #29 overall in his latest mock draft to the Golden State Warriors. Carter could serve as backup to superstar Steph Curry on the perennial NBA Champion favorite Warriors squad.

Of course, there is a solid WVU tie here. Jonnie West serves as one of the hottest up-and-coming executives  in the NBA with the Warriors. You may recall that Juwan Staten was on the Warriors’ preseason roster in 2015.

That website believes that if Carter lasts to number 29, whatever team that selects him that late will be very fortunate.

As an experienced, hard-nosed defender with a steady three-point shot — not dissimilar to Malcolm Brogdon in recent years — Carter could be a steal this June.
