Casey Mitchell Gets Selected in the NBDL Draft

Although the NBA regular season is delayed with their Lockout, the NBDL will continue with business as usual. Days after the NBA regular season was supposed to have begun, the NBDL held their annual Draft.
Former Mountaineer, Casey Mitchell was selected by the Sioux Falls Skyforce with the 4th selection in the 3rd round. Mitchell was a transfer for the Mountaineers after he led the nation in scoring at the junior college level. During his time playing for Bob Huggins, Mitchell showed flashes of potential, especially on the offensive end, but stayed in Huggins' dog house for a good part of his 2-year Mountaineer career.
Mitchell played sparingly during his first season in Morgantown, but played 23 minutes a game during his senior season averaging over 14 points a game.
Other former Mountaineers that have played in the NBDL include Joe Alexander, D'or Fischer, Mike Gansey, and Da'Sean Butler. Butler was sent to the Ausin Toros at the end of last season after signing with the San Antonio Spurs to continue to rehabilitate his knee.
