Jock Sanders Joins the B.C. Lions of the CFL

Former Mountaineer WR Jock Sanders was added to the B.C. Lions practice squad of the Canadian Football League today.
Sanders was on the Tampa Bay Bucs roster during this past preseason, and mainly saw action as a kick and punt returner. He also played sparingly at wide receiver. He proved to be their best return man, but he wasn't able to match those contributions at receiver. When the cuts came down, Sanders was caught in a numbers game. While he played well on special teams, he wasn't enough of an asset on offense to warrant a roster spot.
Sanders joins all-time Mountaineer leading rusher Avon Cobourne of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Lance Frazier of the Saskatchewan Roughriders as former Mountaineers playing in the CFL.
