Former Mountaineer Mortty Ivy Gets Promoted From the Steelers Practice Squad

Mortty Ivy
During this past NFL Preseason, Mortty Ivy was one of the Pittsburgh Steelers leading tacklers and signal callers on defense. When the final cuts came down at the end of the Preseason, Ivy was cut and then re-signed back to the practice squad. The Steelers have one of the deepest linebacking corps in the NFL, and Ivy's relegation came down to a numbers game.
Steelers LB James Farrior is out for tomorrow's game against the New England Patriots (4:15 CBS) with a calf injury, and Ivy was promoted to take his place on the team. The Steelers defense will need all the depth that they can get against the Tom Brady-led, high-powered Patriots' offense.
Earlier this morning, Ivy himself broke the news to the world, via Twitter (@Daboss):

He joins another former Mountaineer on the Steelers defense in Ryan Mundy.
