WVU To Honor Darryl Talley For His Induction Into the College Hall of Fame

Darryl Talley was one of the greatest linebackers in WVU history. A few months ago, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame for his achievements as a Mountaineer. He was a consensus All-American in 1982 and was WVU's career leading tackler until Grant Wiley broke the record in 2003.
Now the Mountaineer Athletic Department, WVU Varsity Club, and AD Oliver Luck is set to honor Talley on Sept. 23, the afternoon before the LSU game at the Waterfront Hotel at noon.
“The Mountaineer family is extremely proud of Darryl Talley’s accomplishments and want to recognize him for his selection to the College Football Hall of Fame,” Dale Wolfley, Director of the WVU Varsity Club said. “Along with Athletic Director Oliver Luck, the WVU Varsity Club and the Mountaineer Athletic Club have put together a great lineup of events to pay tribute and honor one of the best football players to ever play at WVU.”
Tickets are $50 per person, or $1,000 and $1,500 for table sponsorships. Contact the Mountaineer Athletic Club at  800-433-2072 for tickets.
