Pat White to join Ryan Stanchek on the Alcorn State coaching staff

Once upon a time, Pat White used his legs and arm to help propel the Mountaineers to national prominence. Ryan Stanchek helped protect and pave the way for some of White’s ground escapes. Now, Stanchek will lead the way again for White, although in a much different dynamic.

Stanchek is going into his fifth season as a member of the Alcorn State Braves coaching staff and was promoted to offensive coordinator on Monday. He previously served as the run game coordinator, where the Braves ranked first nationally at the FCS level in 2016.

The school is expected to announce the hiring of Pat White as the team’s offensive coordinator this week, per WJTV 12.

It will be White’s first coaching job. He previously played in the NFL with Miami and Washington and in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos.

If Stanchek and White can capture the same magic they used in their time together in Morgantown, the SWAC Conference should be ready for records to fall.
