Mortty Ivy Released by the Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they released former Mountaineer Mortty Ivy today. Ivy had been part of the active roster for the last several weeks after being called up from the practice squad.
Ivy was added to the active roster after sever Steelers' linebackers were hit with injuries. This was shortly after he was re-signed to the practice squad for the second time this season. The move was made after the Steelers signed Al Woods.
The last time the Steelers released Ivy, it was hinted that he wouldn't be off the team for long, and that was the care. This time, however, Ivy makes this move sound more final after posting this message on his Facebook page:
"I gotta stay strong one of these days it will be my turn and I'll be just ok."
Stay tuned to WVU Pros for the Ivy's next move.
