Brandon Hogan To Be Activated by the Panthers

Charlotte Observer reporter Joseph Person reported via Twitter that it looks like Brandon Hogan will be activated for the remainder of the regular season. The team released DT Ron Edwards to make room on the roster for Hogan. The GM of the Panthers, Marty Hurney, alluded to Hogan's activation this morning on a local Charlotte sports station.
Hogan was on the Panthers' Physically Unable to Perform list for the first eight weeks of the regular season while still rehabbing a torn ACL he suffered last December. Hogan was the Panthers' 1st pick in the 4th Round of this past NFL Draft. They drafted him on his potential after having the ACL injury and several well-documented behavioral issues.
Hogan was cleared to practice several weeks ago, and after getting into the flow, it was reported that he was taking reps with the first-team defense at CB and returning kicks in practice. The Panthers rank 32nd in the league in total defense and near the bottom in kick returns. With a 2-6 record and a lack of depth at corner, the Panthers activated Hogan to see how he will bounce back from the knee injury.
The team plays the Tennessee Titans at home this Sunday 11/13 at 1:00 p.m.
