Avon Cobourne's Season Comes to an End

Winnipeg's defense stymied a Hamilton Tiger-cats offense that scored 52 points last week in the first round of the CFL Playoffs. The Avon Cobourne led Ticats offense was held to 3 points Eastern Division Final by the stingy Blue Bombers defense.
Cobourne was held to 28 yards on nine carries as the Ticats had to abandon the passing game early. But stopping Cobourne was one of Winnipeg's keys to victory.
“That was one of our keys,” said Winnipeg safety Ian Logan. “Avon is a tough runner and once he gets going, it’s tough to stop him."
Cobourne finished the season with 961 yards rushing with 8 touchdowns to go along with 459 yards receiving.
