Do You Remember Jarrod West?

Among long-time West Virginia Mountaineer fans, the name Jarrod West is synonymous with one thing: the banked in three-pointer to defeat Cincinnati in the 1997 NCAA Tournament on March 15,1998. For those that are too young or just need their memory refreshed, here is that moment. One of the biggest shots in West Virginia Mountaineer basketball history:

West now is the head basketball coach at Notre Dame HS in Clarksburg, WV. He has been the head coach since the 2004-05 season. With the Irish, he has won two sectional championships and one regional championship. He has also coached five All-State athletes.
In 2007, West wrote a tell-all book about the abuses he suffered from then Mountaineer head coach, Gale Catlett called "Growing up on the Hard Wood: Gale Catlett's Mountaineer Basketball, One Player's Story." West says in the book that Catlett had a dearth of basketball knowledge but had no people skills. He even said that Catlett slapped him once.
