This is an event that is personally very near and dear to me. My mother was in the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center during the 2010 Final Four being treated for squamous cell carcinoma. They were able to eliminate all traces of the cancer through their state-of-the-art treatments, and she may not be here today if it weren't for them.

I look forward to seeing my Final Four teammates and having a great evening to support the Norma Rae Huggins Cancer Research Fund and the Remember the Miners Scholars Program."
The Norma Rae Huggins Cancer Research Fund was created by the Huggins family to raise funds and awareness in honor of Huggins' late mother, Norma Rae. The fund supports cancer research at WVU's Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.
The Remember the Miners Scholars Program is a joint venture between the West Virginia Coal Foundation and RememberTheMiners.org to provide scholarships for dependents of coal miners and/or individuals pursuing a career in the mining industry.
